07Responsible Mineral Sourcing Policy

An important aspect of Xinsheng's sustainable development efforts is ensuring the ethical sourcing of minerals and metals. Mineral supply chains carry risks of directly or indirectly contributing to human rights violations, and we recognize the risks associated with raw material sourcing and their potential impact on vulnerable regions. We condemn all activities related to illegal or illicit operations that may directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups in conflict-affected areas or may lead to human rights violations, including child labor. We fully support the activities of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in addressing these potential risks and take action to ensure compliance with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas. Our own due diligence process aligns with the OECD 5-Step Framework. Similarly, we expect our suppliers to follow OECD guidelines and accept and adhere to the Xinsheng Supplier Code of Conduct, which includes a section on responsible sourcing and requirements for transparent and responsible raw material supply chains. Xinsheng supports its customers in complying with the SEC conflict minerals rule related to Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Act and sources raw materials in accordance with the EU Due Diligence Regulation 2017/821. We also play an active role in industry forums to promote responsible mineral sourcing, including minerals from conflict-affected areas.
